Today was Quto's first day at the academy and already, he works himself to the bone. Out onto the sales floor, he was stocking laptops onto the shelves as he was beginning his first day of work before classes. Unable to pay the full tuition, he took a job with the Academy's store in order to pay off his debt and then some for a few cards to modify his decks. Unloading the last laptop onto the shelf, he rushes over the manage the front cashier desk.
As he waited for the store to lift its cage gate open, he took out his 2 deck boxes containing his Watts and D.D. monsters. He spread them over the counter look them over, replacing one card with another with what he already owned, preparing the deck for duel studies when his first shift ended. The sales manager appears at the gate as he takes notice and scrambles to put his deck away. Walking in, the manage giggles a little as she pokes Quto's head. "Anyone home?" She asked. Quto looked up placing his decks on his belt. "Ready for duty mam!" She laughs a little before calming down. "No need to be uptight, just relax." He sighs a little in relife as she lifted the gates for the eager students walked in to begin browsing. The manager then approached Quto with a large package. "This is your academy issued duel disk required for your dueling classes. You'll be paying this off bit by bit along with your tuition, so keep it with you." Quto nods as he takes the package and stores it within his rucksack he kept behind the counter.
Before the students come to the desk to make their purchases, Quto checks his schedule.

"I suppose I could use some card sleeves... my dad never really took card of his cards, and I don't want to make them any worse.." Katsuo murmured below his breath, low enough to where no one would hear the Osiris Red Midget speak. He stood outside the academy store, as he just made his decision to go in. After all, his student loans would probably cover cards sleeves. I mean, they ARE at a dueling academy where people would learn about a CARD game. With that in mind, Katsuo headed on in. He was immediately greeted by the warm air that clashed the cool, fall winds that plague the entire island weather that was probably going to get much worse as the days go on.
Katsuo managed to see Quto at the desk, but paid him no heed yet, as he went straight to the section labelled 'Card Supplies,' where a variety of products were on sale, such as card sleeves, protectors, skins to personalize one's duel disk, deck boxes, entirely new house casings for some duel disks, card/trading binders, even whole giant boxes sized for housing multiple cards. He picked out card sleeves that seemed interesting to him, and took them to the cash register desk.
"I'd like to get these please. Charge the money out of my student account. It's listed under Katsuo Esper." Katsuo instructed, as he laid the sleeves on the desk that he was barely just taller of.

Quto takes the card sleeves as he looks on the register P.C. "Let's see......Katsuo.....Esper.....Esper......Esper......." Quto repeats his last name several times until he finds his account. "Alright... Got you... The total amount for the card sleeves are $1.24. If you like you can....sign...." He looks at the window with text prompting [ask to join Duelists Club.] "...Sign up for our Duelists club... Students who sign up earn a small percentage off their purchases providing they can present their duel disk memory cards at the register. The better your grade, more you save..."
Quto sighs looking over at Katsuo's face. This sounds like nothing more but another sales pitch. I guess its something the Academy came up with to boost test scores and sales... Would be kind of clever.

Just as Quto was about to ring up Katsuo, an obelisk blue student looks over ahead of the line. As he makes his attempts to cut the line, he looks at the cashiers face and looks terrified as he backs away slooooooooooooooooowly.
"No........not you.........WHY you?!...." He raises his finger at Quto, moving a little more quickly. "WHY ARE YOU HERE?!?! HAVEN'T YOU DONE ENOUGH DAMAGE?!" The student then is seen running out of the academy shop, screaming from the top of his lungs. "FELLOW OBELISK STUDENTS! ITS BACK! ITS COME TO DUEL US AND DESTROY OUR DECKS!!! IT PLANS TO BANISH US TO THE NETHER REALM AND FINISH THE JOB!!! RUN FOR THE BOAT OFF THE ISLAND!!!!" Katsuo looks back to Quto after seeing the event. "......Yea......I never met that guy in my life.......Alright, Ill just punch in no, charge it to your account..... Done, have a good day, come again."
(Note: 2% of the obelisk blue students know Quto's dark side and dueled it before. Reason being, they were the ones who tormented him until he got his revenge.)

"T-thanks..." Katsuo replied hesitantly, watching the scene unfold in front of him. "and that dueling club does sound interesting. Please sign me up!" Katsuo asked, leaving the store while waving back at the duelist behind the counter.

Quto waves back at him as he hangs his head over, sighing in disbelief. "I didn't think any of "THEM" were attending the academy as well... Not after what I-... No... The other me did..." He glances at the clock as he continues to work back and forth from the counter and register, selling off the card sleeves, decks among other items. When he finished with most of the shoppers, he had a few extra minutes before heading off to his look into his dorm, he took this time to register Katsuo's name the academy shop's duelist club and look about the shop himself. A particular item caught his eye.
"The dueling tablet... A touch screen tablet designed to project holograms of cards placed face-up upon itself. Great for dueling indoors or in places with very little space, includes its own A.I. so users can practice against other decks or look for someone to duel with." He checks the price tag and writes down the name of the device. "First item I'm getting with my paycheck... I should probably look into what I'll be sleeping in from here on out." (Went to Dorm 104, returns for his second shift.)
".....Memo to self, buy food."

Post by Peoria - M.R.G. on Dec 25, 2011 1:07:51 GMT -5
Peoria was floating down the street on the campus after he duel with Azure, he was miffed. A large miffed little puff ball really. But the ones who couldn’t see him were blessed at this second because he was like a mokey mokey in that he was red and slight steam was hissing out of his ears. He was a little force to be reckoned with. He moved up the sidewalk as he headed for a pair of doors, where they went, he didn’t know nor did he care at this second.
Hmm… maybe it’s a way off this place. away from that deck..
He studied the doors. He didn’t want to be seen at this time. He then glanced around and stared at the doors almost willing them open, but he waited for this cute little female to open the doors as she went in, so did Peoria. He moved down a aisle as the girl walked though the shop picking up a few cards and moved to the counter to check out. She spoke to the person behind the counter in a snappy way as if she was in a hurry,
I need to buy these cards, just give me the price.
Peoria eyed her with distrust as he peeked around the aisle; it was her type that made him really untrusting of humans. He frowned as she spoke, he didn’t like her. What happen to her? Did she wake up on the wrong side of her bed? Peoria wasn’t about to ask his questions though. He waited. He wanted to wait until she was gone before he started to look at cards to pick up his deck.

"$2.99 Plus Tax." Quto responds as he works with the register. "Would you like to join the academy duelists club? The better your grade, the more you save! Just present your duel disk memory card during your next visit and let us check your last 5 duels. If you dueled well by our systems, you'll get a random % of a discount."
