Aeria pushed back from her desk as she stood up done with her work for the day. She paused to gaze out the window. Towards the direction of the Abandoned Dorm. Her gaze lingered as she would quickly turned around to desk and sat back in her chair. Most people might think it was just a myth, but Shadow Games were as real as ever. They had not been seen in thousands of years however. She pulled up a single picture on of Yugi Moto.
The King of Games. Yugi in his time had his share of messes. In Duelist Kingdom he earned the title of King of Games. He proved himself again in the Battle City Tournament when he expertly dueled against Kaiba, and the evil forces at work inside of one of the other finalist. Marik. After winning that tournament Yugioh once again saved the world from the hands of the Doma. Then again as one of the best in the world in the World Tournament hosted by Kaiba. Yugi grew in the course of these things as well. Of course it was all thanks to his puzzle and the Pharaoh that lived inside it.
A set of mystical items depicted in the abandoned dorm here. Of course one could not mention Duel Academy without thinking of the one it owed it’s continued existence too.
She quickly pulled up a second file with an attached picture of Jaden Yuki.
They best student this academy had ever seen. A smile lit on her face. He had been such a problem child since his very first day at the Academy. Even before. He had been late to the entrance exam. The Vice-Chancellor had been as shrewd as ever and tried to keep him from making it. Good thing he hadn’t. Time after time he had proved invaluable to the school. Starting with facing the Shadow Riders. He had dueled them to keep them safe and keep the world intact. The very same cards that were still sealed here today. His next challenge had been against the Light of Destruction. He had been able to stop it from brainwashing the entire planet. His next one was the most challenging. His challenge against Yubel and the Supreme King. He had no choice, but to fuse together with Yubel.
His last challenge was one she was sure everyone was glad he overcame. He overcame Darkness itself to save not only the Academy, but all of Domino City. It was rumored that Jaden and Yugi dueled. However, an official victory was never revealed leaving the title of who the King of Games really was in the dark. She quickly pulled up a tab of course he wasn’t the only one who had done things similar to that. Yusei Fudo.
Yusei Fudo first came into the eye of the public when he first entered the Fortune cup as a Aatellite civilian. Much of the crowd voiced their rather negative opinions about this, but he was regardless admitted into the tournament, and, against everyone's expectations, defeated the reigning Turbo King Duelist, Jack Atlas, becoming the king of Turbo Duels himself. However, almost immediately after the fortune cup came what would be known as the EarthBound immortal crisis. After quickly defeating them he would face what would be his greast crisis in the form of the Grand Prix. Here he would need to put everything he had learned to the test once more to save the world from being wiped out earning him even more fame.
She paused pulling up a file on up and coming students. Yuma Tsukumo.
Yuma was an up and coming hopeful. One who Duel Academy had been keeping an eye on. Not everything was as it seems. Already he had proved himself twice by defeating Shark, an ex pro duelist. The other was a lesser known duel. One that had been difficult to access, but well worth it. It had been against TV star Fuya Okudaira. A smile played across her lips as she stood up from where she stood and strode to the window to look down on the students just now get out of class.
Possibilities. It’s what makes this school such a great place. There are endless possibilities. Each awaiting all the students wanting to look for them. Which one of you will be the next King of Games. The next King of Turbo Duels. Or something much greater? she pondered. ”Welcome to Duel Academy.” she said. A new year was waiting. What would become of it?
