Duel Academy. Another year was about to start and so Myra found herself in the library. She had grown so much since attending this school. Her dueling was improving a lot and she had managed to win a tournament. She would've attended more but her first music tour had just started and consumed most of her time. By the time it had ended she only had a month left before Duel Academy started again. Despite this she had continued practicing on her own and even dueled some of her friends who she had invited as groupies for her whole tour. She wasn't famous yet but her popularity was seeming to grow day by day.
"If you could see my now would you be proud of me?" A question she found herself asking her parents from time to time. They never answered but she felt if she saw them they would simply smile and nod. They had always supported whatever she did completely. An angel her mother had always called her growing up. She found she really missed those days the most but she never let them get her down too often. She couldn't afford to let anyone close to her see her weakness and pain. She doubted any of them would ever understand it. Perhaps that was why she was alone now she wondered. Guys were always asking her out but she always said no in fear of potential rejection. Perhaps it was time to stop hiding.
"I need a book." She simply nodded with a smile and stood up now. She then walked over to a bookcase and began flipping through them pulling a few out to hold. Satisfied she turned to face the table only to bump into it dropping her books as she fell to her knees now. She then sighed adjusting her glasses a little and looked to the window watching a few birds fly around causing her to smile softly.
