Katsuo sat on the highest point of the lighthouse, his legs hanging down between the railings as he looked outward toward the ocean, it's waves beating against the still, cement docks. The fresh breeze brushed lightly against his cheeks. The sight was truly one to behold; Oceans, as far as the eye could see, laid beyond the small Osiris Red. "It's.. beautiful.." He heard himself murmur, admiring the scene.
It was the right place to be, after the rushing just to get to a class he was late for. It was strangely soothing, but then, why wouldn't it? Seeing the restless ocean touch the calming, deep, azure sky above him with wisps of clouds as soft as cotton.
And the ocean, brought his mother to his mind. By now, she was probably having to deal with his yelling, abusive father over the vast waters, the waters he had to cross to come here to be away from all of that. I hope you're all right, mother..

Phil stood in front of his rooms and then moved out moving though the school to wonder off to the shoreline. He carried his gray backpack on his back as he moved down the halls being careful not bump into anyone with their bags. He frowned, he didn’t know what it was with the carrying bags and people, but backpacks were all the way to go. He then thought to himself planning his day out,
Hmm, the shoreline will be a nice place to look though my dark world deck to make sure I have all the cards in it.
He turned and started to walk that way to the shoreline close to the light house. He wasn’t wearing his yellow jacket, instead he was something causal. His yellow jacket was in his backpack, so he could put it on fast when a teacher came by him, but he didn’t really care for the ranks in the school. The point of being in here was to learn and dual. Meaning anyone would be up for grabs in Phil’s mind to dual.
He turned down a dirt path and stepped along it as he moved down to the shore line beside of the light house. He soon find a rock and sat down on it, and hummed as he started to look though the deck that was mainly traps and spells with a sprinkle of monsters. He sighed and looked at his deck, it held too many cards and he knew it, but it still a good deck.
Hmm… I wonder if I take out a few monsters? …. No, then I would be left defenseless.
He leaned back on his rock and stared at the light house. it was then he started and frowned, someone was sitting up there, alone. He shrugged, placed his cards back in the bag and then made his way down to the lighthouse. He opened the door and then walked up to the top it he paused and then stared at the boy who was sitting alone before he asked,
Enjoying the view?

"Eh?" The surprise in a single word escaped his lips, turning around quickly to see who talked to him.
A student taller than him. Or was he a student? He didn't have his jacket on, unlike Katsuo who wore his at all times unless it was super hot. Thankfully, the cool autumn air allowed him the freedom to keep it on without burning in a thousand hells with it on. If I had to guess... Probably Ra or Obelisk. I doubt First Year Osiris Students would seek out random people on lighthouses... Katsuo deduced, already familiar with the names of the dorms and "ranks." The school didn't refer to them as ranking, as the Osiris Red and Ra Yellow dorm had received upgrades over the years to make them a bit more equal to the Obelisk Blue dorm, but the ranking of Obelisks being better than Ras, and Ras being better than Osiris' still reigned supreme.
"Yeah, I suppose." Katsuo replied, before turning his attention back to the ocean. "Kinda reminds me of home. We lived near the coastline in satellite city, so it wasn't hard to go a short way and watch the waves beat against the hard cement." Katsuo added, turning back to the student with no uniform. Or perhaps it wasn't, maybe it was school staff about to tell him that he wasn't allowed on the lighthouse. He didn't know.
"Anyways, I assume you need something?" Katsuo went straight to the point, wishing almost for the conversation to move on without him slowing it down with his nostalgia and talks about his home.

Phil cocked his head as he listen to the boy speak. satellite city, he would have to remember that, he then looked at the boy before answering his question,
No, I didn’t need anything,
He then moved to the railing and let his zipped up book bag drop from his shoulder to the platform and then he spoke adding,
I was simply shorting my deck out on the shore line down below, and saw you sitting up here. I came to see what a person would be looking out over the sea for. But I see that this place reminds me of your home. Personally I haven’t seen the sea like this before. But I’ll leave you to it if you want me to.
Phil looked the boy and studied him as he slowly smiled before adding,
I am Phil, what’s your name?
He might as well get a name before anything else happen.

"No, you're fine. Just don't, like, push me off or anything." Katsuo joked. Even though it was a joke, he couldn't stop himself from imagining the tall Ra Yellow pushing over the midget Katsuo.
"I'm Katsuo. Katsuo Esper. No one important." Katsuo introduced himself, turning his attention back to the sea. "So you were shortening your deck? What kind of deck do you run? Lightsworns? Lavals? Gustos? Dragons?" katsuo continued on in a poor attempt to make conversation. He wasn't one for talking unless he was in a particularly happy mood, which wasn't often unless he was either cleaning or playing his PSP or having a fun duel. "I run this mix of level ones with Meklord emperors, and they more or less focus on direct attacking." Katsuo mentioned his deck, still admiring the ocean scene.

Phil had to smile at the boy, even as a joke he wouldn’t have done that. he moved and sat beside the boy and spoke,
Shortening? …. No I was shorting the deck out to make sure I had the right number of cards and if I had the spells and traps I had in it that I needed. But I have two decks really… one is Dark World and the other is Six Samurai. But the one deck I use mainly is for the artwork, the second one that deals with fiends and the like mainly deal with clearing the field and creating Life Points.
Phil smiled and then let the breeze move over his cheeks and he looked over the water, he normally didn’t tell that much about his decks to anyone, but he felt it was okay with the small boy beside of him. He didn’t have many friends, and he slowly wondered
I wonder if this is friends… maybe..
Phil looked at the boy and then spoke adding with a slight sile on his face,
I was adding and taking away from the dark world really. The Six Samurai are fine, but I haven’t really tested them other then my fellow members of my ranking. Would you wish to help me out with the test of Six Samurai? If not, it’s all good.

"A duel? Sure, but don't expect too much from me. This deck is still kinda iffy in terms of it actually accomplishing anything." Katsuo agreed, standing up and taking out his duel Disk, and attached it to his arm. The moment he did, the setup ran through it's course, displaying many lines of red, heavy text, before it finally ended with "Ready to duel."
"Though, what I've heard of Six Samurai, this is bound to be a short duel." Katsuo added, disheartened. Six Samurai were very powerful cards, and even Katsuo had heard of them in Satellite city.
"Since you suggested the duel, I'll let you go first."

Phil opened his bag to show his yellow jacket on top, he shoved it down to the bottom and picked up his decks. He flipped one deck over and looked at the bottom card and placed it back in the bag. He then pulled out a slightly used duel Disk and placed it on his arm. He then placed the deck in the slot and stood leaning on the railing thinking. He then pulled out five cards and studied them reading them.
Hmm what to do… first turn… hmm would have liked the second turn… but still… beggars can’t be choosers.
He mauled over the cards in his right hand as he fingered them slightly. He thought about the many moves he could make with the cards in hand. He spoke,
Well to be totally honest, I hope I can live up to it, but it felt right when I was putting it together.
Phil smiled slightly before he added,
Plus, this would be the first time I dueled with it with another person.
He had in fact had dueled many times with himself. But this would be the first time in dueling it with someone else. Phil paused and then looked at Kat before he added,
I think you should go first since i asked you and all..

"Oh? Well.. okay then." Katsuo took the first turn. He was so used to going second, it was almost second nature to him ((Ba-dum-Pish! ...What, not funny?)). But, it was a foreign feeling to him nonetheless. He would greet this duel with his very best!
"Alright, my go! Draw!" Katsuo started off, drawing a card in a over-dramatic fashion. He looked at his starting hand, and frowned. To be quite honest, it sucked. A lot. I can at least hold off some attacks... These are Six Samurai though, so I wonder what kind of build he's going for...? He pondered on the very subject, before deciding to take action.
"I normal summon Mystic Piper!" Katsuo called out, as a prancing clown of sorts skipped out of the opening portal that usually appears when a monster is summoned. "... And I use it's effect! By tributing Mystic Piper, I can draw a card and reveal it. And if it's a level one monster, I can draw again!" Katsuo explained, as the prancing clown suddenly stopped it's prancing, lifted it's horn high into the air, and began to play visible, colorful notes. These notes surrounded the clown, and once they dissipated, the clown was gone too. Katsuo drew a card and revealed it. "Looks like I got Gravity bind! No extra Draw for me, though." Katsuo admitted, and looked back to his hand.
"For now, I'll just lay two facedowns. Your go."

Phil looked over his hand of five cards consisting of six strike – triple impact, Kagemusha of the six Samurai, the Six samurai Yaichi, Asceticism of the six samurai, and the six samurai – Yariza. He nodded as he watched Kat play out his turn, he then pulled his card out with two fingers and plucking I in his hand he saw that it was slogan. He frowned, he didn’t want to play it this early in the game, but it could be very well have to be played. He pulled Kage out his hand and placed it face down and them placed a spell card down on the field face down. He studied the other cards before placing down a second spell face down and then spoke quietly,
Your turn, Katsuo.
He then waited to see what would happen, he had a slightly bad hand, but he wasn’t about to show that to Katsuo at all.

"Got it. Draw!" Katsuo stated once more and drew in an over-dramatic fashion, and looked at the card he just drew. Oh, this is really nice! ... But I don't think many Six Samurais fit the requirements except one or two... Katsuo mulled over the card he just drew, and then looked at his remaining hand.
"I normal summon Kinka-Byo! It's effect allows me to special summon a level one monster from my grave!" Katsuo explained, as he plastered the card on. In moments, a shadowy creature resembling a cat of sorts, with it's fur all poofed up and jagged-like entered the scene. And, along with it's revival, came Mystic Piper, whom was still prancing with it's horn. "And you're probably familiar with Mystic piper's effect. I'll use it!" Katsuo shouted, as the clown once again played itself into oblivion as Katsuo Drew a card.
"I drew Bottomless Trap Hole. It's not a level one, so no extra draw this time either." Katsuo mentioned. He added it to his hand, but it would not stay for long. "I set two cards face down. And end my turn." Cards in hand: 4 Cards on field: 4 facedown magic/trap

Phil nodded as he watched Kat make his move, gravity bind. He spoke softly,
My draw now.
He pondered his cards in his hand now and then he frowned slightly, a bad draw really, but it didn’t matter since this was a game to see if he could play the Six with ease with someone else. He then thought back to that gravity bind,
A powerful card.. I think he is lying to himself about what his deck can do… that’s good then.
He half smiled, this would be a good duel. But He would have to deal with that card when it came to it. He eyed his cards, then he placed Yaichi face up to attack Kat once he moved to his battle pahse, he then placed the field spell card called Sogen down. He then flipped his face down up to attack mode to show Kagenusha of the six samurai. As he thought to himself as he spoke aloud in soft tone again,
Hmm, now to move into battle phase, but first where is gravity bind?
Entering battle pause now to attack you directly, Katsuo.
He glanced at Kat and smiled almost daringly as he started to get ready to attack him directly. ................. Duel Disk Data .................
Life points: 8000 Cards in hand:2 Cards on the field: 5 one field spell two monsters two spell/traps

"Not so fast! I activate Fiendish Chain on Yaichi, and I activate Gravity bind!" Katsuo commanded, as the cards that hovered just over the ground rose up revealing themselves.
As Gravity Bind activated, the world around them began to be engulfed into a green-grid of sorts, covering everything but the monsters and the duelists themselves. And as Fiendish Chain activated, Pillars from around the duel area propped up out of swirling portals, and upon their ascension, shot chains of blackened steel towards Yaichi and wrapped themselves around the Samurai.
"Gravity Bind's effect. Level 4 or higher monsters cannot declare an attack. Fiendish chain's effect states that the equipped monster's effect is negated, and it cannot attack." Katsuo stated their effects, knowing them almost by heart.
But, it did not stop Kagemusha, the other Six Samurai on Phil's field. It lunged forward and swung it's holographic sword at the defenseless Katsuo, whittling his Life Points by a mere 600. Cards in hand: 4 Cards on field: Gravity Bind, Fiendish Chain, 2 facedown magic/trap

[mutual Agreement, the duel has been skipped to the end] Phil nodded as he played speaking a few words looking over how his deck was doing as he went along. Before he knew it the game a was over as he lost to Kat, he smiled as he bowed slightly and spoke to him more freely as he took his deck out of the duel disk,
That was a dandy fine game. I will have to duel you again sometime.
Phil smiled as he spoke before he opened his bag and placing his yellow jacket on the ground he put the disk in the bag and then placed the jacket on top if the disk,
It seems that I need to work on them before they become any use to me.
He smiled softly and then shuffling the deck and taking the top card he looked out over the sea as he remembered home.

"Yep, good game." Katsuo offered, before putting his duel disk back into his bag, while only a few feet away from the midget Osiris, his Duel Spirit Baby Tiragon was cheering with short squeals and cries of happiness for them both. "I do have one suggestion for you. You gotta be more aggressive in your playstyle when you play with Six Samurais, and take some chances. Try to make your deck built around hitting your opponent hard and fast rather than just waiting for the opportune time to hit your opponent when you have everything ready. If you wait, more than likely, your opponent is already set up for the thing you're preparing for. The goal of Six Samurai is to be ready as possible before your opponent has the chance to react or to even set up their strategy. And to do that, you have to swarm the field early on, and hit them hard." Katsuo explained to the best of his ability, reciting from memory what he was told from--
His father. Remembering who the information came from made him wince. It was before they had lost everything when his father was in the pro leagues, before his father treated him and his mother like trash.
"It's... It's just what I heard from my father though. He plays a lot with a lot of people. Or he used to, anyways." Katsuo explained, citing his source with a bit of pain in his gut.

Phil nodded his head as he was told what he had been told before by his friends in simpler terms. He frowned as he listened then he noted the look on Kat’s face as he finished.
Hmmm, parent troubles I bet… I’m going to have to remember that though.
He looked down and frowned before he spoke to Kat,
Hmm, I’ll have to remember that. but you right, im normally better with my other deck that I have used for ages. It would be cool; one day to duel you again. You’re pretty good.
He smiled slightly before he bent down to pick up his backpack. He smiled, family troubles weren’t his cup of tea and he could tell that Kat had a few of them. It showed on Kat’s face in that wince he had given, that pause before he had finished speaking. Phil frowned mentally and then when he stood up and looked at Kat, he spoke again,
You gonna be around here tomorrow about this time? I was thinking of dueling you then… what do you say?

"I'm not sure, it depends if I get stuck with out of class work, but I'll probably be doing it up here anyways. I'd love to duel again." Katsuo answered, a tad more happier than he was a few seconds ago. "This deck needs to be messed with a bit anyways too, so I'll look forward to our next duel. But for now, I just want to relax..." Katsuo added, plopping himself back on the ground, allowing his legs to hand between the bars of the lighthouse and started to, once again, gaze out into the ocean.
